Use of External Speakers in Business Premises

Shared Regulatory Services (SRS) has powers to regulate the use of external speakers in business premises.

The volume of speakers should be kept to a background level.  Whilst background level is not defined in legislation, a reasonable test will be applied, i.e. it should not be so loud as to cause difficulty in conducting a conversation in the area outside your premises.

In Cardiff the use of external speakers in business premises shall cease at 9.00pm.

Failure to comply may also result in an application for a review of your existing license conditions.
