Beware bogus charity workers going door to door

We urge residents to be aware of individuals going door to door, posing as charity volunteers. These individuals may ask you for donations or other personal information.

Whilst there are legitimate charities sending volunteers door to door, there are also those who are fraudulently posing as charity workers.

If you are in any doubt, ask the individual for written information (such as a contact card), so you can telephone the charity yourself should you wish to make a donation.

Do not hand over cash, personal information or bank details on the doorstep. If in any doubt, contact South Wales Police on 101 or Citizens Advice on 0808 223 1133. Information sent to both organisations will result in our Safeguarding team being notified of the matter.
